Ship maintenance

Some freights en route to Fairbanks have been delayed due to vessel maintenance | Alaska News

A ship that delivers consumer goods to Alaska went into dry dock for maintenance, and the standby ship developed a leak. Some goods arriving here are being delayed, but that should be resolved soon, according to a spokesperson for Matson, Inc.

“We expect to be fully back on schedule with all northbound and southbound crossings next week,” said Keoni Wagner, the company’s director of corporate communications.
